Come home to us!

Worship at 10:00 a.m.
a blend of Contemporary and Traditional worship styles

Community Church offers a worship experience that is a careful blend
of both contemporary and traditional worship styles. Language and
structure are designed to be inclusive, and to offer a worship setting
that is comfortable not only to younger people and to those who may be
new to Christian worship, but also to those who have been lifelong
worshippers.

A talented and versatile group of musicians provide both sacred
and secular music to enhance the worship theme of the day.  The
congregation sings along with the band on the opening and closing
songs, following words projected on the wall.  The band also performs
a solo number during the service which connects to the worship

theme, text or sermon.   The musicians include well-known local artists Nancy Phillips (vocals), Dave Phillips (bass,
vocals), Tony Burciaga (guitar, vocals), Jenn Schaff (drums), and frequent special guests.

As a balance to the band's emphasis on worshipful celebration, our organist/pianist provides traditional hymns,
prelude, offertory and postlude in the style familiar to worshippers who were raised in the church. These elements of
worship in the sacred, classical style, emphasize reverence -- another very important experience in the worship of God.

Linda Lyon, our Religious Educator, offers an insightful Children's Time each Sunday. Children participate in worship
in other ways, as well, setting the table each Communion Sunday.

Our choir rehearses Wednesday evenings at 6:00 p.m. in the Sanctuary. New members are always welcome!
No experience necessary. For more information, call the Director of Music, Nancy Phillips (831) 899-3650.
