Middle School: We are looking for energetic adult advisors for Middle School Fellowship. If you are interested, please contact the church office 624-8595. Senior High: Click here to see more photos of our Youth Mission Trip! Also under development is our Senior High Fellowship. The core of our Senior High Fellowship is an annual Mission Trip. Senior High adult sponsors work with teens to prepare for a multicultural experience of serving others. In Summer 2008 we traveled to the state of Jalisco, Mexico, for our Mission Trip. We focused on two projects: Project #1 Refugio Infantil Santa Esperanza. Puerto Vallarta. The Refugio Infantil Santa Esperanza (Children's Shelter of Hope), is a NON-PROFIT shelter for infants and children under the age of 14 who have been turned over to the orphanage by the Meixcan government organization that is the legal representative for minors under the age of 14. The shelter gives these children a safe and loving place to live because they have no other choice in their lives. We spent four days painting and refurbishing classrooms which several of the while taking plenty of time to play games with the children, who will be out of school during the time we are there. Project #2 Casa Imaginacion. Yelapa. In this remote fishing village 45 minutes by boat from Puerto Vallarta, we had the privilege of working at the local youth center, Casa Imaginacion. Here we exercised our artistic abilities, creating wall art for this wonderful center for Yelapa's youth. It was plenty hot, but we had a great time! |
